What
Every Woman Should Know About Beauty Skin, Hair
and Nail Care

Beauty skin care, nail care and hair care are actually
similar in several ways. The nutrients needed to support the skin’s health, the hair’s health and nail health
are the same. The healthier those things are, the more beautiful they are. Here’s a look at what to eat to
keep them healthy and beautiful.
Skin cells, hair strands, fingernails and toenails are
composed of structural proteins. Structural proteins differ from dietary proteins in the number of amino
acids they contain. You might think of the structural ones as simpler, because they contain fewer amino
acids.
The body makes its own structural proteins. So it is not
necessary to consume them, per se. It is necessary to include enough complete protein in your diet in order
to provide the amino acids the body needs to do the construction work.
Recommendations vary concerning the amount of protein that
should be present in your diet. A good rule of thumb to follow is to try and eat at least a half gram of
protein per pound of body weight per day.
If you happen to be trying to build muscle, you will need
more. Fitness experts suggest 1-1 1/2 grams per pound in order to build muscle efficiently. Let’s say you are
a woman weighing 145 pounds. Your goal would be to eat at least 72.5 grams of protein per
day.
6 ounces of canned tuna provides 40 grams. A 4 ounce
chicken breast provides 35. A 3 ounce serving of turkey, beef or salmon provides about 25.
Salmon has additional benefits to the skin’s health,
because of the omega-3 fatty acids it provides. A few studies have shown that supplements containing soy
protein and omega-3 fatty acids improve the skin’s structure and firmness.
At least one dermatologist recommends a daily serving of
salmon to help reverse wrinkles. You just have to be choosy about the type of salmon or tuna you choose to
eat, particularly if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Toxins such as mercury and PCBs are known to be present in
many different types of seafood. Even relatively small traces of toxins can cause developmental problems and
birth defects. Many obstetricians suggest a purified fish oil supplement as an alternative or in addition to
eating low mercury seafood 3-4 times per week.
You should also be choosy
about the products you use for hair care and beauty skin care. Natural ingredients are the safest
choice.
A Daily Routine to Achieve
Younger and Softer Looking Skin

One of the most important things you can do for
yourself, is take good care of your facial skin. You can easily prevent your skin from aging, getting
wrinkles and breakouts by purchasing some products and taking a few minutes each night to spend on your
face.
There
are a few basic things you will need:
- A
cleanser
- A facial
brush
- Exfoliating
Facial Scrub
- A
Moisturizer Facial cream or lotion
- Sunscreen
Cleaning
your face : Getting rid of old makeup, dry skin and dirt keeps your face fresh and looking it’s
best.
Purchase a good
cleanser for your skin type, you can find one at your local drugstore. It doesn’t have to be expensive, just one
that goes well with your skin type. If you have oily skin you should look for a clear cleanser with oil removing
ingredients. If you have dry skin, look for a creamy cleanser that will add moisture as you wash your
face.
Exfoliate: Scrubbing off a build up of makeup, oil and
dirt, keeps your complexion looking bright.
There are some
great exfoliating facial scrubs on the market, such as apricot and peach scrubs which are inexpensive and contain
ground up particles of apricot pits or peach pits that help lift dry skin off your face. These can be purchased at
a local drugstore and are inexpensive. This step helps your skin to look younger, keeps your complexion
bright and helps ward off breakouts.
Moisturizer: Adding a layer of moisturizer helps
seal in the moisture on your skin, creating more of a softer look to your face.
Every skin type
should be moisturized, unless you suffer from severe acne. If this is the case you should consult your
dermatologist for proper cleaning methods and skin treatments. If you have oily skin, you will still benefit
from a small amount of moisturizing lotion after you properly clean your face. If you tend to have dry skin,
depending on how dry or tight your skin feels, you can judge the amount you apply. Be careful not to over
moisturize, it will clog your pores and cause breakouts. Moisturizing your face is the #1 step to keep your face
soft and looking younger. It’s important to have a daily routine of face washing and moisturizing to maintain a
youthful glow.
Sunscreen: Apply it daily
before going outdoors, even if it is not sunny, your skin can still be affected.
Using Proper
sunscreen when you are outdoors is extremely important, the sun has damaging effects to the skin, especially the
face. The sun is the number one cause of wrinkles in women, it is so important to make an effort to apply it every
day. Make sure your sunscreen contains Helioplex or Mexoryl they indicate that the sunscreen contains a broad
spectrum of UVA and UVB protection.
The best time of
the day for doing your cleaning and exfoliating routine is right before you brush your teeth and tuck yourself into
bed. That way you are sure you have removed all your makeup that you applied earlier in the day and you can start
with a clean face to apply new makeup and sunscreen in the morning. Once you start doing this simple step for
yourself every day, you will see the difference it makes and how great you look!
7 Steps to Healthier Hair

Being a mother
is such an amazing experience, but it sometimes isn’t a glamourous job. We get up in the morning and start the
day by making bottles, changing diapers.. or maybe deal with a toddler running around. Perhaps if your children
are older you’re dealing with everyone in a rush to get ready for school.
Most times we
grab an elastic and pop our hair into a ponytail just to get it out of our eyes. However, there are very simple
and easy solutions to having great hair even though we don’t have a lot of time to devote to
it.
There are 7
Steps to having Healthier Hair
By following these simple things, you can have
great looking healthy hair in no time.
#1 – Buy a great Shampoo suited for
your hair type. A good moisturizing shampoo will do wonders for your hair if it’s
dry. It will prevent breakage, leaving it feeling soft and you won’t have to deal with split ends from
the stress of elastics and hair clips. If you tend to have oily hair, grab a shampoo for oily hair.
Whatever hair type you have, there is a shampoo out there for you.
#2 – Purchase a great
Conditioner! Unless you have oily hair to start with, conditioner is a
very important step to having healthy and great looking hair. Winter dries your hair out, as well
as the humidity. Not to mention if you happen to blow dry your hair, or use a curling iron or flat iron.
If you don’t have a lot of time to stay in the shower and wait the 2 minutes for Conditioner, try a leave in
conditioner that will keep working in your hair after it dries.
#3 – Buy good quality styling tools
and styling products that are not harsh on your hair, hair products that contain
alcohol can dry your hair leaving you with damaged ends.
#4 – Use a
clarifying shampoo once a week to remove any build up of styling
products.
#5 – If you are
not planning on going out right after you have a shower, let your hair dry naturally
and then use your flat iron or curling iron. This will allow your hair to soak up some of the
moisture from the water in your hair as it dries. The heat from your blow dryer can dry your hair
out leaving you with damaged ends. Try not vigorously rub your hair dry with a towel, this may damage
it. Instead blot your hair with the towel and let air dry.
#6 – When you have some extra time on
your hands, perhaps after the children go to bed, you may want to treat your hair to an intense conditioning
treatment, you can purchase some great treatments and leave them on your hair for
several minutes. Do this once a week to help repair any damage that may have
occurred.
#7 - Treat yourself to a
trip to the beauty salon for a good trim every 3 months. This will help get rid of any
damaged or split ends and give you a well deserved break just to sit and relax! It is nice treat to have
someone take care of you for a bit!
Remember you deserve to
look great, so take care of yourself and your hair!
Look Salon beautiful everyday for a fraction of the
cost.

month. Hair removal becomes time consuming. Having to make appointments, go to the beauty salon, not to
mention how much money you spend on these waxing procedures.
Most Beauty
Salons have an Esthetician trained in waxing techniques, a simple brow waxing can take about 5-10 minutes, but
depending on the Salon it can cost you anywhere from $8-$50.
So…… let’s take
a look at what you may spend on Eyebrow waxing alone:
Let’s say you

$15 X 2
brow waxes per month = $30
$30 per
Month X 12 months = $360 per year
That’s a lot of
money per year just for eyebrow waxing.
If you are a
busy mom and don’t have time to run out to the Beauty Salon every two weeks, you may resort to good old plucking
with a pair of tweezers. This is effective, but time consuming and can be very painful.
You may want to
purchase a professional waxing kit for home. These kits last for a long time and you can purchase refills when
you run out. You should also get yourself a great pair of tweezers for plucking the stray hairs left behind by
waxing.
Having this
waxing kit in your bathroom will give you the opportunity to wax your brows whenever you please. Having this
kit available will enable you to wax your legs, arms, upper lip or whatever you need waxed anytime you like. This
type of hair removal is very easy to do yourself with a little practice.
Just think of
the money and time you will save!
The average leg
waxing price is $50 – consider having to do this monthly.
$50 X 12
months = $600
$600 + $360 for Brow
waxing = $960 per year
Think of what
you could do with $960.
Not to mention
all the time it takes you to go to these appointments.
Never Waxed your
own eye brows before? Be brave, it’s easy. There’s only one rule – Never wax above the eyebrow, wax below the
eyebrow to shape the brow. Don’t worry, most waxing kits come with instructions, and if not.. there are many
online guides to give you the proper “how to wax” instructions.
With one of
these professional home waxing kits, you can look Salon perfect everyday without ever having to leave
home.
